Guru de Gangstarr falleció ayer (19 de Abril) en la mañana después de una larga batalla con el cáncer.

De acuerdo a Solar, Guru sufría de esta enfermedad desde hace un año y después de que numerosos tratamientos bajo la supervisión de especialistas fallarán, el legendario MC sucumbió a la enfermedad. Guru siempre quiso mantener el terrible diagnostico en privado pero a principios del 2010 tuvo que ser internado en el hospital debido a los graves efectos causados por el trastorno.

Desde el inicio de la enfermedad, Guru intentó llevar una vida “normal” como un músico influyente y excepcional, un padre amoroso, padre de familia y mejor amigo. Los doctores animaron a Guru a pensar positivo, que el cáncer puede ser curado y que una completa recuperación es posible pero todos los tratamientos incluyendo las quimioterapias fallaron.

Mientras estaba en el hospital en estado terminal, Guru escribió una carta para sus fans, la cual fue obtenida por medio de Solar, donde habla de su enfermedad, su brillante carrera musical, su familia y sus seres amados.

"Yo Guru, estoy escribiendo esta carta a mis fans, amigos y seres amados alrededor del mundo. He tenido una larga batalla contra el cáncer, la cual he perdido. He sufrido esta enfermedad por más de un año. Y he agotado todas las opciones medicas. Tengo una organización sin fines de lucro llamada Each One Counts dedicada a continuar mi trabajo en favor de los niños abusados y desvalidos de todo el mundo y también para educar y buscar una cura para esta terrible enfermedad que termino con mi vida.
Escribo esto con lágrimas en los ojos, no de tristeza pero si de alegría por la hermosa vida que lleve y por toda la gente grandiosa que tuve el placer de conocer."

No pude resistir el postear este disco, de lo mejor que se podrá escuchar este año. El protegido de Immortal Technique, Diabolic viene a presentar un trabajo enfocado al hardcore rompecuellos que tanto nos gusta por aquí en medio de tanta "frescura" que ha venido saturando la escena estos últimos años. Recomendado si te gusta Snowgoons, Jedi Mind Tricks y sus derivados.
